God's Word

We believe the Bible is the infallible, inspired Word of God. We believe that it is possible to be contemporary without compromising God's Word. We eagerly anticipate discovering many fresh, creative ways to proclaim God's Word and spread His fame! In the weekend service, which is our "foyer" environment, our goal is to "edu-tain" as we teach. That is, we want to simultaneously hold people's attention and educate them according to God's unchanging, life-altering Word!

Prayer

We believe in the power of prayer to sway the destiny of a church (Acts 1:14). We believe that God honors and answers prayer. We believe that the miracle of prayer is not that we talk - but the miracle of prayer is that God listens!

Worship

We believe that Christ lives in us (Col. 1:27) and that our everyday lives are meant to be a walking worship service (Romans 12:1-2). Our dream is not that people would come to Discovery Church to worship, but that people would come to Discovery Church already worshiping!

Relationships

We believe in relationships! Our desire is to discover, develop and deploy people who are intentionally relational as they pursue intimacy with insiders and influence with outsiders. As we pursue intimacy with insiders, those who are already Christ-followers, we will experience community and that good ole family feeling! As we pursue influence with outsiders, those who are yet to become Christ-followers, we will experience the thrill of personal evangelism first hand!
