JHM is the dynamic Sunday-morning environment where middle school students (6th-8th grade) gather to explore their relationship with Christ and others. We meet in the Youth Room (upstairs) during the 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. worship services. There is nothing stale about this gathering! Your middle school student will swiftly discover why many students enthusiastically return each week to explore faith, friendships and accountability.
JHM Small Groups
- Do you want to have fun?
- Maybe make some friends along the way?
- Do you want to grow in your relationship with God?
Then Small groups are a great place to jump in!
Junior High is a fun time but it can also be a scary time! Our JHM Small Groups meet on during our 10:30 and 11:45am services and our goes is to give them a place to grow in their faith and to make some friends. Our small group leaders are there to not just teach but to also do life with our students walking through the different things that a Junior High Student will face. We want to be a place where everyone is welcome and no question is off limits. So whether you are a first time visitor or a regular attender we thing you are going to love our small groups.
WHAT IS A SMALL GROUP LEADER
A small group leader is someone who says yes to students; yes to investing in their lives, celebrating their victories and being with them when they have a hard day. A small group leader points to God and shows them that He is faithful even when the world around might not make sense. Being a small group leader can really be summed up by our mission statement…Love God, Love People!
WHAT YOU DO HAS PURPOSE
Many of us, if we look back into our past know that many times what changed our lives weren’t necessarily messages that the pastor delivered or the singing no matter how amazing it was. The thing that really changes lives is when someone is willing to come alongside a student and do life with them. When you do that you show that over time, you will be there, and most importantly… so will God. If you volunteer you are a part of changing a student’s life for eternity and we believe that there is not greater call that to be a part of life change!
